For applications in which the relative humidity exceeds 80 % or a direct moisture contact is given the sensors have to be shielded by additional measures. The reason for this is that thin plastic layers are pervious to water vapor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">A sealing can be achieved by aluminum adhesive foil or wrapping into bituminous foils or butyl rubber. When using metal foil with high thermal conductivity air gaps between foil and sensor have to be strictly avoided. The foil must not reach around the edges of the sensor (thermal bridges)!<\/span><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft is-resized\" style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/phymeas.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Ziegelwand-scaled.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/phymeas.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Ziegelwand-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Ziegelwand\" width=\"478\" height=\"277\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Bei Messungen an Oberfl\u00e4chen muss ber\u00fccksichtigt werden, dass der W\u00e4rmeaustausch zwischen der Oberfl\u00e4che und dem umgebenden Medium nicht nur durch Konvektion und W\u00e4rmeleitung, sondern in erheblichem Ma\u00dfe auch durch W\u00e4rmestrahlung erfolgt. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass die Emissions- und\u00a0 Absorptionsgrade von W\u00e4rmeflussmessplatte und der Oberfl\u00e4che auf der diese angebracht ist, \u00fcbereinstimmen. Weil sich der Emissionsgrad von Metallfolien erheblich von dem der meisten Materialien unterscheidet, sollte gegebenenfalls eine zus\u00e4tzliche Beschichtung mit einem angepassten Emissionsgrad erfolgen.\nBei l\u00e4ngerem einseitigen Feuchtekontakt ohne zus\u00e4tzliche Schutzma\u00dfnahmen kann sich die W\u00e4rmeflussmessplatte deformieren, weil die verwendete Oberfl\u00e4chenbeschichtung zu quellen beginnt. Dies ist ein Hinweis darauf, dass\u00a0 Feuchte in den Sensor eingedrungen ist und damit auch dessen Kalibrierwert beeinflusst werden kann.\nZum Anbringen der W\u00e4rmeflussmessplatten auf nichtsaugenden Untergr\u00fcnden sollte vorzugsweise Doppelklebefolie verwendet werden. Die Benutzung von l\u00f6sungsmittelhaltigen oder wasserhaltigen Klebern (z.B. Acrylkleber) ist auf saugenden bzw. diffusionsoffenen Untergr\u00fcnden m\u00f6glich. In diesen F\u00e4llen k\u00f6nnen w\u00e4hrend der Anfangsphase der Messung thermische Effekte durch Verdunstungsw\u00e4rmen auftreten. Um den Sensor zerst\u00f6rungsfrei wieder abl\u00f6sen zu k\u00f6nnen, sollte gegebenenfalls seine Oberfl\u00e4che durch ein geeignetes Trennmittel (z.B. Fl\u00fcssigwachs) zus\u00e4tzlich zu der herstellerseitig bereits vorgenommenen Beschichtung mit Wachs, gesch\u00fctzt werden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">The measuring leads can be connected to the designated connections by soldering without problems. The pretinned connections are located centrically at the rim of the sensor. A low-powered soldering iron (15\u202630 W) should be used to prevent an unnecessary heating of the soldering joint.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Due to a low source resistance of the sensors the lead resistance of the measuring cable can be ignored if a high-resistive measuring instrument (usually a few M\u03a9) is used. This way practically any cable cross-sections are applicable.
